Dr. Wayt - Veterinarian

Wayt

Dr. Wayt has had a deep love for animals since childhood, which naturally led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2018 and began her career at a busy municipal shelter in Tucson, Arizona. During her five years there, she gained extensive experience in surgery, emergency care, and the management of infectious diseases.

While working in the shelter environment, Dr. Wayt developed a strong passion for surgery and high-volume spay/neuter work. She has co-led three international veterinary trips—two to the Dominican Republic and one to Suriname—providing essential care to underserved animal populations.

After transitioning from shelter medicine, Dr. Wayt began working as a relief veterinarian, which introduced her to the beauty of Colorado and its cooler climate. After spending several summers exploring the state, she eventually settled in Eagle, drawn by the stunning scenery, active lifestyle, and welcoming community.

Dr. Wayt is excited to bring her surgical expertise, compassion, and well-rounded clinical experience to Mountain Animal Hospital. She takes pride in forming lasting relationships with pet owners and delivering thoughtful, personalized care to every patient.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wayt enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors with her two beloved rescue dogs, Louie and Nevada.
